About The 109 Gallery

Situated in Historic Downtown Chickamauga, Georgia, The 109 Gallery is a woman-founded art space built around making, gathering, and being together. We host exhibitions, classes, workshops, performances, and community events that invite people of all ages to explore creativity in ways that feel welcoming, relaxed, and enjoyable.

Nestled inside the gallery is a small café expanding ways that creative spaces can bring us together. It is a place to pause, meet a friend, work on a project, or stay awhile after an event. Whether you’re visiting for an exhibition, attending a class, or simply stopping in, we hope the space feels comfortable, lively, and full of possibility.

The 109 Gallery was founded by artist, curator, and educator Leah Dalton, who believes art can be a form of care—something that brings people together, supports local talent, and adds a little brightness to everyday life. Through classes, exhibitions, free festivals, and everyday gatherings, the gallery continues to grow as a place where people can create, connect, and feel at home.

We are proud to be part of the Appalachian region and the broader tri-state community surrounding Chickamauga and Chattanooga. Our work is shaped by the traditions, creativity, and neighborly spirit of this area, and we are grateful to be connected to partners across the region working to strengthen arts, culture, and opportunity. To learn more about the incredible projects, resources, and communities that make up our region, we invite you to explore the Thrive Regional Partnership.
